WHAT IS A TIFFIN?

Tiffin is a term used throughout India for a snack that can be had at any time from a box. In Mumbai, it refers to any kind of packed lunch delivered by dabbawallas or tiffin carriers.

In true Topi style, we’ve lovingly adapted this longstanding tradition using our own aromatic spice mixes and the best locally-sourced produce. 

A tiffin is known in India as a traveller’s necessity - a packed lunch of fresh, healthy food to sustain you until dinnertime. It is considered the best way to carry home-cooked food anywhere: school, work, weddings, picnics, or even long train journeys.
